Sales Support Engineer (HVAC/ ACMV)

Job Description

  • Assist in managing incoming leads and inquiries, ensuring prompt response and proper routing to the appropriate sales representatives.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the sales team, including data entry, scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and preparing sales-related documentation.
  • Assist in creating and formatting maintenance proposals, including assembling necessary documentation, cost estimates, and service details.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project details using CRM software or other tools.
  • Liaise with clients to schedule appointments, gather information, and relay important details between clients and the sales team.
  • Conduct follow-up calls or emails to gather feedback, answer queries, and ensure client satisfaction after proposal submissions or sales interactions.
  • Generate regular sales reports, performance metrics, and activity summaries for the sales team and management.
  • Work closely with internal departments such as engineering, operations, and finance to coordinate project handovers, invoicing, and other operational aspects.
  • Develop a basic understanding of ACMV systems and maintenance processes to facilitate effective communication with clients and internal teams.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with clients by providing excellent service and demonstrating responsiveness to their needs.
  • Maintain and update the customer database, ensuring accuracy of contact information, interactions, and project statuses.
  • Assist the sales team with various ad hoc tasks, such as market research, competitor analysis, and preparing materials for client presentations.
  • Any adhoc duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirement

  • Diploma or equivalent in Engineering or Business Administration.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or sales support role is preferred. Experience in the HVAC or maintenance industry is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients and internal teams.
  • Meticulous attention to detail when handling documentation, data entry, and client communication.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software. Ability to learn new software tools quickly.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a willingness to assist and support clients throughout the sales process.
  • Resourcefulness in finding solutions to challenges that arise during the sales support process.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Openness to learning about ACMV systems and the HVAC industry to enhance support to the sales team.
